Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Hybrid Multi-Cloud Engineer SME to lead secure DoD cloud initiatives at Fort Belvoir, VA or Albuquerque, NM. You will architect, engineer, and sustain hybrid cloud solutions across Azure and AWS, implement IaC, and guide security controls with RMF and Zero Trust principles.

The role demands DoD TS/SCI clearance, advanced Azure/AWS expertise, and hands-on engineering. You will mentor junior engineers and collaborate with cybersecurity teams to meet mission objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical discipline with 12+ years of relevant experience.
• Active DoD TS/SCI clearance at time of hire.
• Current DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II certification (Security+, CySA+, CCNA Security, or equivalent).
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience architecting and implementing enterprise cloud solutions.
• Extensive experience designing and deploying Microsoft Azure infrastructure and platform services.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune, Defender for Endpoint, Purview, and Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD).
• Experience with RMF, NIST guidance, and enterprise security.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, engineer, and implement secure hybrid cloud solutions utilizing Microsoft Azure and AWS.
• Design and deploy greenfield cloud environments supporting DoD mission requirements.
• Develop secure, scalable cloud architectures aligned with DoD cybersecurity guidance and Zero Trust principles.
• Design and implement Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Azure Bicep, ARM Templates, CloudFormation, or similar).
• Design and administer Microsoft Intune, Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Server, Defender for Cloud, Purview, and Azure Virtual Desktop environments.
• Engineer secure networking solutions integrating on-premises with cloud environments.
• Automate cloud deployments and operational processes using scripting tools (PowerShell, Python, Azure CLI, AWS CLI).
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, systems engineering, networking, and application development teams.
• Support system accreditation and RMF compliance.
• Evaluate emerging cloud technologies and mentor junior engineers.
