Job summary

RTX seeks an embedded software engineer for the S3E department in Woburn, MA. You will design and develop real-time embedded software in C++ across Linux-based platforms, working closely with Systems and Hardware Engineering to ensure system integrity.

You will participate in agile ceremonies, contribute to CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, and maintain robust unit tests using Google Test while navigating security-clearance requirements and US citizenship prerequisites.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field and 5+ years’ experience.
• Experience in an Agile and DevSecOps environment developing and maintaining software on embedded processors/microcontroller.
• Demonstrated ability to work across Systems, Hardware and other engineering disciplines to debug system and board level issues.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, integrate and test real-time embedded software in C++ on Linux/RTOS.
• Collaborate with Systems Engineering to generate architecture documentation and requirements.
• Support CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Python in an embedded environment.
