Job summary

RTX is seeking an embedded software engineer/Scrum Master for the S3E team in Woburn, MA. You will contribute to real-time embedded system development, collaborating with Systems Engineering and driving agile processes while delivering hardened software on embedded targets.

You'll work with C++ on Linux RTOS platforms, participate in design, integration and testing, and support CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Python. Onsite role with strong security clearance requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field with 2+ years’ experience.
• Experience developing multithreaded applications.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to start date.
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
• Experience coordinating team meetings, sprint planning and reviews, retrospectives and standups.
• Experience with backlog readiness for planning and execution.
• Experience identifying and championing resolution of impediments.
• Experience with tracking and reporting agile metrics.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Systems Engineering to generate design concepts and system architectural documentation.
• Support decomposition of architectural documentation to derive requirements for software development activities.
• Apply embedded principles to design and development of hardened software applications.
• Software applications are developed using C++ on Linux and other real-time operating systems.
• CI/CD pipelines are executed via Jenkins and utilize Python.
