Job summary

Carvana is seeking a Safety & Security operative in Las Vegas to protect associates, customers, and vehicles at the gate and on the lot. You will perform safety audits, manage vehicle flow, and respond to incidents with trained first aid, CPR, and AED skills.

The role requires a hands-on, boots-on-the-ground attitude, the ability to work in varying weather, and strong communication to act as the face of Carvana at the gate.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in a customer service environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• A track record of solid decision-making in a complex, fast-moving environment.
• Ability to build strong working relationships and connect with people quickly.
• Ability to organize, plan, and execute multiple tasks at once in a fast-paced setting.
• Ability to handle conflict in a positive, productive way.

Responsibilities

• Lead with a service-first mindset in every interaction.
• Live the Carvana values and ensure they are felt by everyone you work with.
• Be the face of Carvana at the gate for associates, vendors, and visitors.
• Communicate clearly and actively listen with no missed signals.
• Use the Unified Security Platform to monitor cameras, review footage, and investigate alerts.
• De-escalate and collaborate with partners to keep operations smooth.
• Run point at the gate using the SAS App and RFID tech, enforcing ingress/egress.
• Manage vehicle movement through the Inspection Center entrances and exits.
• Be trained and certified in first aid, CPR, and AED and use when needed.
• Know emergency protocols to act decisively when seconds count.
• Keep the site operational in all weather with safety-focused practices.
• Drive a safety-first culture by auditing hazards and reinforcing best practices.
• Scan thousands of vehicles daily to track operational flow.
• Walk to reach restricted areas and deliver reports to leadership.
• Deliver clean, detailed vehicle location reports for operational questions.
