Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring an Area Manager to oversee day-to-day operations for an assigned client portfolio. You will act as primary client contact, manage staffing, scheduling, payroll, and compliance with post orders and safety policies.

You will lead a team, drive operational excellence, participate in regional and corporate meetings, and work to grow the portfolio while delivering reliable security services.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or five years of work history in any field.
• Current state driver’s license if driving a company or client-owned vehicle.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws and may be required prior to employment.
• Minimum of three years of security management experience.
• Demonstrated ability to take initiative and manage multiple assignments to meet deadlines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and office management technology.
• Ability to maintain discretion in correspondence and materials.
• Outstanding oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary client contact for assigned accounts with regular face-to-face interaction and proactive issue resolution.
• Define, address, and resolve client issues including staffing, service, and program execution.
• Manage account operator duties: scheduling, payroll input, recruitment tracking, interviewing, and filling positions.
• Select and develop direct reports and implement performance improvement plans.
• Ensure staffing aligns with contract requirements and manage branch overtime through scheduling and backfill.
• Ensure post orders, training, licensing, and appearance standards are current and compliant.
• Apply coaching and discipline per policy and resolve employee relations issues.
• Oversee new account startups and transitions, ensuring staffing and training are addressed.
• Use financial reports to monitor overtime and scheduling efficiency for the portfolio.
• Attend regional and corporate meetings and contribute ideas for growth and improvements.
