Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring an Area Manager in Washington, DC. The Area Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operational management of an assigned client portfolio.

This full-time role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least three years of security management experience, plus proficiency in Microsoft Office. You will oversee staffing, scheduling, training, and client relations to ensure service excellence and contract compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of three years of security management experience.
• Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Office and office management technology.
• Outstanding oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary client contact for assigned portfolio; regular face-to-face interaction and proactive issue resolution.
• Define, address, and resolve client issues including staffing, service, and program execution.
• Manage Account Operator duties: scheduling, payroll input, requisitions, interviewing, and hiring.
• Select and develop direct reports; implement performance improvement plans.
• Ensure staffing aligns with contract requirements and manage overtime; maintain rovers for backfill.
• Ensure post requirements are current, including orders, training, licensing, and policy adherence.
• Coach and discipline per policies; promptly report and resolve employee relations issues.
• Oversee new account startups and transitions; coordinate training and startup activities.
• Utilize financial reports to monitor overtime and scheduling efficiency.
• Attend regional and corporate management meetings; suggest efficiency improvements.
