Job summary

Akamai Technologies, Inc. seeks a Security Architect to join the Product Security team to improve security of Akamai's products by collaborating with development teams and guiding secure design and development choices.

You will perform security-focused design reviews, assist with remediation, participate in incidents, and help integrate responsible AI usage across Akamai's platforms, shaping internet security at scale.

Qualifications

• Security architecture experience in a large global environment.
• Familiar with latest security technologies and vulnerabilities.
• Experience with threat modeling frameworks (STAMP, STRIDE).
• Ability to remediate vulnerabilities and propose custom solutions.
• Broad security knowledge across cloud, network, cryptography.
• Ability to communicate with worldwide teams.

Responsibilities

• Performing security-focused design reviews of applications, systems and networks across a wide range of products, including security, CDN and cloud computing.
• Partnering with development and infrastructure teams across the organization to assist with remediation of identified issues.
• Working collaboratively with product development teams on secure design and development choices.
• Providing guidance and answering questions about security practices.
• Serving as a subject matter expert during incidents and remediation projects.
• Identifying the appropriate tools and processes for ensuring that products are meeting security and compliance requirements.
• Integrating responsible use of AI into your workflow and ensuring that the company's use both internally and its products, are secured.
