Job summary

Akamai's Information Security Team is seeking a Security Architect to enhance the security of Akamai's products by collaborating with development teams to embed security into design and development. You will contribute to shaping internet security at scale, working with global teams and leveraging AI tools to strengthen security across products.

Qualifications

• Experience designing security architecture in a large, global environment.
• Up-to-date knowledge of security technologies, attack techniques and vulnerabilities.
• Ability to remediate vulnerabilities and tailor solutions to architecture.
• Breadth of security knowledge across cloud security, network security and cryptography.
• Experience with threat modeling frameworks such as STAMP or STRIDE.
• Strong communication skills to explain security concepts to non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Perform security-focused design reviews of applications, systems and networks across a wide range of products, including security, CDN and cloud computing.
• Partner with development and infrastructure teams across the organization to assist with remediation of identified issues.
• Work collaboratively with product development teams on secure design and development choices.
• Provide guidance and answering questions about security practices.
• Serving as a subject matter expert during incidents and remediation projects.
• Identifying the appropriate tools and processes for ensuring that products are meeting security and compliance requirements.
• Integrating responsible use of AI into your workflow and ensuring that the company's use both internally and its products, are secured.
