Job summary

Akamai Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Security Architect to join our Product Security team. You will partner with development teams to embed secure design in Akamai's products and help scale security across our global platform.

You will perform security-focused design reviews, advise on remediation, guide incidents, and stay current with evolving threats and AI security. This role blends architecture leadership with hands-on security practice.

Qualifications

• Experience in security architecture in a large, global environment.
• Knowledge of current security technologies, attack techniques, and vulnerabilities.
• Ability to remediate vulnerabilities and propose architecture-based solutions.
• Broad security knowledge across cloud, network, cryptography, etc.
• Experience with threat modeling frameworks such as STAMP, STRIDE.
• Able to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Perform security-focused design reviews of applications, systems and networks across Akamai products.
• Partner with development and infrastructure teams to remediate identified issues.
• Work with product teams on secure design and development choices.
• Provide guidance on security practices and answer questions.
• Serve as SME during incidents and remediation projects.
• Identify tools and processes to ensure security and compliance across products.
• Integrate responsible AI usage into workflows and secure adoption.
