Job summary

Akamai's Information Security team protects Akamai, its customers, and the Internet worldwide. You will report to the Director of Security Engineering and collaborate with IT and engineering to provide security design guidance for apps, systems and platforms.

You will assess risks, stay current on threats, and implement controls, while working in a FedRAMP/CMMC compliant environment to keep global networks secure.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree.
• Proven experience with network security analysis or intrusion management.
• Experience with malware and vulnerability identification and mitigation.
• Experience identifying software and application compromises and vulnerabilities.
• Experience with secure deployment and usage of infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS).
• Experience in a FedRAMP and/or CMMC certified environment.

Responsibilities

• Research adversarial techniques, emerging vulnerabilities, and related detection/response strategies.
• Conduct network, application and system security assessments to identify risks and mitigation.
• Assist with design and deployment of security risk mitigating controls.
• Perform compliance and policy-based investigations of internal systems.
• Document security guidelines, procedures, and policies (NIST 800-53/800-171).
• Provide security guidance to Akamai business units.
• Leverage AI capabilities to enhance processes and automation.
• Develop scripts and tools to support the functions.
