Job summary

The Ned Washington DC’s Ned’s Club is seeking a Security Agent to protect guests, members and staff while ensuring safe, smooth operations across our three-floor venue near President’s Park.

In this part‑time role, you will patrol the club, respond to incidents, monitor CCTV, document incidents, and help uphold safety policies. You’ll combine strong observation, calm communication and professional discretion to support a premier hospitality experience.

Responsibilities

• Patrol and monitor premises, conduct regular patrols of the club including member areas and back-of-house to ensure security and detect irregularities.
• Respond to incidents or disturbances, including member complaints, unauthorized persons on property, emergency situations.
• Provide assistance and support to members and guests addressing security-related concerns or inquiries.
• Monitor CCTV and other security equipment; observe activities and address breaches.
• Write incident reports and document injuries (medically treated and non-treated).
• Uphold club policies and safety regulations; ensure conduct guideline adherence.
• Support employees with any issues or concerns they may report.

The Ned and Ned’s Club are a global collection of hotels, clubs, spas, and restaurants for like-minded individuals to meet, work and have a good time.

Seven years after launching The Ned London in 2017, we are proud to be opening a Ned’s Club in the US capital, our fourth and newest location.

The Property…

Ned’s Club Washington DC is a members’ club set over three floors of a neoclassical style building situated within President’s Park at 734 15th Street NW.

The Riggs Building sits opposite the US Treasury and was constructed in 1930. The 12-storey building is located around the corner from the White House and sits above the Milken Center for Advancing the American Dream, formerly the historic Riggs Bank Corcoran branch.

The Club has a Rooftop Terrace and Loft Restaurant with views overlooking the White House, US Treasury and Washington Monument, plus a Founder’s Dining Room, The Library, Drawing Room, Gallery and Conservatory. On level nine, there is a self-contained floor of private event spaces.

As a Security Agent and a key part of the Operations team, you will:

• Patrol and monitor premises, conduct regular patrol of the club including member areas and back-of-house to ensure security and detect irregularities
• Respond to incidents or disturbances, including member complaints, unauthorized persons on property, emergency situations
• Member and guest relations: provide assistance and support to members and guests addressing security-related concerns or inquiries
• Monitor CCTV and other security equipment. Observe activities on the premises. Identify and address security breaches
• Write incident reports and document medically treated and non-treated injuries
• Uphold club policies, safety regulations and ensure adherence to conduct guidelines
• Support our employees with any issues or concerns they may report

• Ability to deescalate situations and remain calm in stressful situations
• Previous Security experience is preferred
• Able to work evening/night shifts (3pm to 12am and 4pm to 1am on Friday, Saturday and Sunday)
