Job summary

GEO Secured Services in the United States seeks a Transport Officer to securely move detainees and ensure vehicles are maintained and compliant. You will perform pre-trip through post-trip inspections, verify licenses, and complete required paperwork while upholding safety standards.

Requirements include a valid CDL with Passenger endorsement, being 21 or older, and passing the DOT drug test; ability to travel and work overtime is expected. This is a full-time role in Yakima, WA.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid CDL with passenger endorsement (P) within 60 days of hire.
• Clean driving record with no major violations in 3 years.
• Pass DOT drug and alcohol test.
• Ability to travel and work overtime; may work up to 16 hours in a 24-hour period.

Responsibilities

• Pre-trip, during-trip, and post-trip inspections; file DVIR.
• Ensure permits and licenses are in order; alert supervisor of issues.
• Check safety equipment before trips; report problems.
• Complete paperwork accurately and submit per policy.
• Ensure detainees are secured during transport and paperwork is complete.
• Follow all safety laws and regulations; notify authorities if needed.
• Deliver vehicles for servicing and pick up when ready.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
