Job summary

The GEO Group Secured Services is hiring for a transport officer role in the United States. You will securely transport detainees between destinations, keeping vehicles safe and compliant while following DOT and company policies.

Strong focus on safety, paperwork, and proper reporting is required. We require CDL with Passenger endorsement, a clean driving record, and training in corrections, law enforcement, or military.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Valid Class B or Class C CDL with Passenger endorsement within 90 days of appointment.
• Eighty hours of verified and certified driver’s training from a approved trainer per US DOT.
• Must possess a State Firearms License.
• Must possess a State Security Guard License.
• Training program completion in Corrections, Law Enforcement, or Military.

Responsibilities

• Transport detainees securely between destinations and ensure vehicles are safe and properly maintained.
• Assist management when unique or unexpected problems arise during transportation and help develop solutions.
• Review vehicle inspection reports and develop summaries for Transportation management.
• Ensure all permits and licenses for assigned vehicles are in order.
• Ensure vehicles have necessary safety equipment before trips and report issues.
• Track DOT Hours of Service on Electronic Logging Devices.
• Participate in interviewing and screening of Transport Officer applicants.
• Review required paperwork and ensure reports are submitted per policies.
• Ensure missions meet safety standards per PBNDS/FBNDS during transport.
