Job summary

GEO Secured Services is seeking a dedicated Transportation Professional to securely move detainees between locations and ensure that all transport vehicles are properly maintained and compliant with safety standards. You will perform comprehensive inspections, verify permits, and manage documentation for each trip.

The role requires a CDL Class B/C with a P endorsement, or equivalent, and 80 hours of verified driver training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent certification required. State employment requisites apply.
• Must hold a valid CDL Class B or C with a Passenger endorsement at hire.
• 80 hours of verified driver’s training from an approved trainer per DOT.
• Certification in Corrections, Law Enforcement, or Military.
• Current driver’s license with clean record; no major accidents or DWI/DUI in 3 years.
• Must pass DOT drug and alcohol test and be able to work overtime.

Responsibilities

• Performs pre-trip, during-trip, and post-trip vehicle inspections; submits Daily Vehicle Inspection Reports.
• Ensures all permits and licenses are valid before trips; informs supervisor of any issues.
• Checks safety equipment prior to trips and reports problems.
• Completes all required paperwork accurately and on time.
• Secures detainees during transport and ensures proper handoffs at destinations.
• Adheres to safety laws, regulations, and internal policies at all times.
• Contacts safety authorities and facility management immediately after an accident; provides detailed information.
• Takes vehicles to servicing and picks them up when ready; performs other duties as assigned.
