Job summary

The GEO Group, Inc. is seeking a Transport Officer to securely move detainees between destinations and maintain vehicle safety and compliance. The role requires attention to DOT regulations, vehicle inspections, and coordinating with Transportation management across shifts.

You will work extended hours, possibly overnight, and travel as needed. A CDL is preferred, with six months to obtain it if not held. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, at least 3 years in law enforcement or

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• 3+ years of experience as a Law Enforcement Officer with Arrest Authority or detention experience.
• 2+ years of driving experience in a transportation capacity.
• CDL preferred; must obtain within 6 months of hire.
• Pass a company and DOT drug and alcohol test.
• Ability to work overtime and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Transport detainees securely between destinations and ensure vehicles are safe and properly maintained.
• Review vehicle inspection reports and develop summaries for Transportation management.
• Ensure permits and licenses for vehicles are in order and safety equipment is ready for trips.
• Assist in interviewing and screening of Transport Officer applicants.
