Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Section Leader in Mechanical Engineering to guide a team of 10–20 engineers through the full lifecycle from development to production acceptance for DoD programs.

You will set goals, conduct performance reviews, and collaborate with cross‑discipline teams to drive program success while upholding RTX values of trust, respect, collaboration, and innovation. On-site in Tucson with relocation options.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
• Minimum of 10 years of prior relevant professional mechanical engineering experience.
• Active DoD issued Secret Clearance.
• Experience leading teams and presenting to leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead a mechanical engineering team of 10–20 through design-to-production lifecycle.
• Set measurable goals and conduct performance reviews.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams on operation, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Oversee onboarding of new section personnel.
