Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ, seeks a Section Leader for the Test Solutions Engineering Center to lead mechanical engineering design through lifecycle stages, including production transition and manufacturing acceptance.

You will supervise 10–20 engineers, set goals, and coordinate with program managers, chief engineers, and cross-functional leaders to drive performance on DoD-grade systems. This is an onsite role in Tucson.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of eight (8) years of relevant professional mechanical engineering experience.
• Active DoD issued Secret Clearance
• Experience in a "Customer" oriented environment.
• Experience presenting to leadership and peers.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of ~10–20 mechanical engineers and set measurable goals.
• Collaborate with multi-discipline teams on operation, testing and troubleshooting of systems.
• Conduct formal and informal performance reviews and career development discussions.
• Oversee onboarding of new section personnel and contribute to hiring efforts.
