Job summary

Raytheon, a leading aerospace and defense company, seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to oversee a section of 10–15 engineers and provide technical direction for RF systems. You will guide design, testing, and integration across hardware and electronics, ensuring performance within cost and schedule targets.

The role requires a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, 8+ years of experience, and an active U.S. Secret clearance. Relocation may be offered; citizenship is required for security.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from ABET-accredited university.
• Minimum of 8 years of engineering experience.
• Experience with design/integration of RF systems and related manufacturing/test processes.
• Team leadership with accountability for cost, schedule, and technical execution.
• Active U.S. Secret clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a section of 10–15 Mechanical and/or multi-disciplinary Engineers.
• Provide technical expertise for program efforts, proposals, EVMS/EAC tracking, and risk management.
• Design, test, integrate, and document mechanical hardware, supporting electronics and subsystems.
• Ensure work products meet cost, schedule, and technical performance requirements.
• Maintain section capabilities and staffing for programs.
• Mentor team members and support recruitment and retention.
