Job summary

Raytheon in El Segundo, CA is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to design, develop, integrate and test RF sensor and EO/IR systems. The role involves cross-functional collaboration with systems, software and hardware teams, and requires the ability to lead small work efforts and communicate progress to leadership.

The ideal candidate will have a DoD Secret clearance or the ability to obtain one, a strong background in radar/EO/IR algorithms, and hands-on experience with MATLAB, Python and C/C++.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field and 5+ years of systems engineering work.
• Proficiency in radar/EO/IR algorithms and signal processing.
• Ability to obtain/maintain DoD security clearance and U.S. citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and validate RF DSP algorithms using real or simulated data.
• Model sensor phenomenology for RF and non-RF sensors.
• Collaborate with systems, software, and hardware engineers on real-time software and integration.
• Develop automated analysis tools for large RF data sets and tracking data.
