Job summary

Raytheon in North Texas seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to design and integrate mechanical aspects of antennas, RF sensors, electronics, and sub-systems. You will use Creo Parametric CAD and GD&T to produce fabrication-ready drawings while aligning with program leadership and procedures. Expect travel to suppliers and sites as needed.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in STEM or equivalent experience and the ability to obtain a U.S. government Top Secret security clearance after start.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) or 5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with design and manufacturing of electronics packaging for military/aerospace applications; GD&T, ANSI drawing standards, first-order analysis; PTC Creo MCAD software and drawing standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical design and documentation for antennas, RF sensors, electronics, and supporting sub-systems.
• Utilize PTC Creo Parametric CAD and apply GD&T principles for design documentation and fabrication.
• Follow established procedures while collaborating with program and functional leadership to meet design objectives.
• Develop technical solutions to a wide range of complex mechanical engineering problems.
• Oversee mechanical outlines, construction details, connector selection, mechanical/assembly drawings, and elements of the technical data package.
• Work with minimal supervision, exercising significant latitude in determining technical approaches and solutions.
• Coordinate frequently with IPTL, Program Management, and external personnel.
