Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. is seeking a Systems Administrator with a Secret clearance to support enterprise IT operations.

The role includes patching desktops and servers, installing and configuring software, hardware, and networks, and monitoring system performance to prevent outages. The position emphasizes working with classified and unclassified systems, participating in change control, and maintaining comprehensive documentation.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and at least 5 years work experience with the design, installation, administration & maintenance of Windows (versions up to WIN11 and Server 2026).
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills needed to work with business partners, engineering, operations, and vendors.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Patching desktops/servers and installing, configuring software, hardware, and networks.
• Responding to service outages, monitoring system performance, and troubleshooting system issues.
• Maintain WSUS servers (classified) and manage vulnerability scans and POAM-related tasks.
