Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautic Systems is seeking a Structural Analysis Engineer for locations including Oklahoma City, Palmdale, San Diego, or Whiteman AFB. The role supports fast-paced development, with a 1st shift and a 9/80 schedule.

Responsibilities include stress analysis of primary/secondary structures, and collaboration across disciplines. A clearance is required; relocation benefits may apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM with 2+ years aerospace structural design experience, or MS with 0 years.
• Experience with bonded composite structural analysis of primary and secondary aircraft structures.
• Experience with metallic structural analysis of primary and secondary aircraft structures.
• Proficiency with structural analysis methods and documentation, including hand-sheet analysis and large FE model manipulation.

Responsibilities

• Perform stress analysis for primary and secondary structures.
• Review analyses, drawings and repairs for accuracy and completeness.
• Collaborate with other disciplines during design development.
• Present and explain structural issues and solutions to internal management and customers.
• Maintain and improve part designs, equipment and systems to support production deliveries.
• Develop practical solutions to complex problems that align with program objectives.
• Evaluate as-built products for compliance with standards and specifications.
