Innovative Defense Technologies (IDT) in San Diego, CA is seeking a Software Engineer for our Integrated Mission Systems (IMS) team to design, build, test, and deliver secure, integrated software for complex DoD systems. This on-site role requires an active Secret clearance and four or more days in the office in San Diego, CA.

You will collaborate with cross-functional software, systems, integration, and test engineers to create front-end and back-end features, and apply DoD security,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in software engineering, CS, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience with Git, C++, Python, Java, or JavaScript.
• Experience with Docker, OCI, Podman; Kubernetes.
• SQL and Postgres experience.
• Linux command-line proficiency.
• React or modern frontend frameworks experience.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Design, integrate, test, and deliver software across languages; document architectures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and build features.
• Adhere to DoD security, reliability, and performance standards.
• Build and maintain Jenkins pipelines; containerize software; work with Kubernetes.
