Job summary

Innovative Defense Technologies (IDT) seeks a Software Engineer in Mount Laurel, NJ to join the Missile Defense team. You will design, develop, and maintain software applications and services supporting DoD programs, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, high-quality solutions.

Qualified candidates have 3+ years of experience, proficiency in C++, Java, Python, or JavaScript, and familiarity with Linux, Git, and PostgreSQL.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience with C++, Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• Experience with Git and Linux-based environments.
• Familiarity with SQL and PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with Docker/Podman and container tech.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement features and resolve defects.
• Develop high-quality, maintainable code meeting security and quality standards.
• Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
• Integrate software components and third-party technologies into systems.
• Support deployment, modernization, and continuous improvement efforts.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and procedures.
• Contribute across the software development lifecycle from requirements to deployment.
