Job summary

SimVentions is seeking a systems engineer to support SPY-6 radar capabilities for the U.S. Navy. You will focus on requirements, design verification, and system integration across the lifecycle, working with government engineers and multidisciplinary teams.

The role requires 4+ years in systems engineering, experience with radar or defense systems, and MBSE proficiency. Willingness to travel 3–5 days to test sites with limited annual trips is required.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in systems engineering or related field.
• Experience developing, maintaining, and tracing system requirements and baselines throughout the lifecycle.
• Experience with radar systems, sensor tech, or defense systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute systems engineering plans.
• Create and maintain system requirements, specifications, and interface documentation.
• Support system architecture, requirements decomposition, and hardware/software allocation.
• Perform modeling, simulation, and system performance analysis.
• Participate in system integration, verification, and testing activities.
• Develop test plans and analyze system performance using MATLAB and lab tools.
