Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Mechanical Engineer/Principal Mechanical Engineer in Roy, UT to support the Sentinel GBSD program. Work within an IPT, interface with leaders, suppliers, and customers to develop PDPs and design solutions. On-site role with potential relocation assistance and a 9/80 schedule.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with 2 years of related experience; master’s degree with 1 year of related experience.
• US Citizenship with an active Secret security clearance; ability to obtain SAP approval.
• Experience with design/fabrication techniques for structural details, assemblies, and/or installations.
• Experience using PLM/PDM tools and 3-D modeling.
• Experience with 3-D modeling tools and product lifecycle management (PLM) tools.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement deployable mechanical mechanisms verified through test/analysis.
• Develop CAD models visualizing various design solutions.
• Deliver required PDPs on time to meet program objectives.
• Develop Infrastructure Integration PDPs with element teams to prevent disconnects and clashes.
• Identify gaps within a design and provide cost-effective resolutions.
• Ensure PDPs meet design requirements from specifications.
