Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems in Roy, UT is seeking a Mechanical Engineer or Principal Mechanical Engineer to join our Sentinel (GBSD) program. This role supports the Command Systems team and focuses on hardware design and integration for the Sentinel program.

The position requires a STEM degree, US citizenship and security clearance; experience with Siemens NX, Teamcenter PLM, CAD modeling, and cross-disciplinary collaboration is valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM with related experience or advanced degree with less experience.
• US Citizenship and Secret clearance required (within scope).
• Proficiency with MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint and scheduling tools.
• CAD modeling using Siemens NX or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Join a team of Mechanical, Electrical and Hardware Integration engineers to design hardware systems and components.
• Apply ASME standard processes to identify, design, and procure mechanical hardware.
• Support design of integrated assemblies with decomposed requirements and architecture diagrams.
• Create design artifacts including 3D models and PLM documentation using NX and Teamcenter.
• Collaborate in a multi-disciplinary engineering environment.
