Northrop Grumman Defense Systems in Roy, UT is seeking a Mechanical Engineer or Principal Mechanical Engineer to design and develop mechanical systems for the Sentinel program. The role requires a US Secret clearance and involves CAD modeling, parts design, and collaboration with customers and engineers.

You’ll work on aerospace hardware, conduct analyses, prepare drawings, and support the full lifecycle from concept through deployment. The position offers a 9/80 schedule and robust benefits.

Qualificações

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university with 2 years of related experience; or a master’s degree with 1 year of related experience (Principal level requires 5 years with a bachelor’s; or 3 years with a master’s).
• Must be a US Citizen with an active U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance, at time of application, current and within scope, with an investigation date within the last 6 years
• Requires a minimum 2 years of experience with CAD modeling (Siemens NX preferred)
• Requires a minimum 2 years of experience in mechanical engineering that includes a background in mechanical systems (mechanisms preferred)
• Requires experience with common engineering standards (ISO, ASME, Mil Spec, NAS, etc.)
• Requires experience with GD&T, materials selection, and manufacturing processes

Responsabilidades

• Primary role is to serve as a mechanical designer for mechanical systems (mechanisms) design on a major Northrop Grumman Defense Systems program
• Research, plan, design, and develop mechanical/aerospace products for aircraft, spacecraft, launch vehicles, missiles, ground vehicles and associated ground and test equipment
• Develop CAD models and 3D model based drawings using Siemens NX and Team Center
• Verify specifications and designs through modeling and simulation, test data processing, and performance analysis
• Support all phases of the systems lifecycle including design, drawings, fabrication, test, installation, operation and maintenance
• Design of components/systems, and preliminary/sizing analysis for both stress and dynamic analysis of aerospace structures
• Preparation and presentation of reports, briefings, design documents (drawings and specifications) and interface with customers
