Job summary

RTX, based in McKinney, TX, is seeking an established Mechanical Engineer to design and document electro-mechanical assemblies on-site. You will coordinate with multi-functional design groups and support manufacturing in McKinney.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering from an ABET-accredited program with 5+ years of experience, and is capable with Creo Parametric and GD&T. U.S. citizenship and security clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or equivalent engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or 3 years with an advanced degree.

Responsibilities

• Follow established procedures and instructions while working with program and functional leadership to meet design and production goals.
• Proficient experience with PTC Creo Parametric or other solid modeling tools.
• Strong knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles for design documentation and fabrication.
• Work within a multi-disciplined team covering aperture hardware design, housing design, electronics packaging, circuit card assemblies, interconnects, and thermal management.
• Frequent interaction with IPTL, Supply Chain, and external personnel; travel typically not exceeding 10%.
