Job summary

SimVentions, Inc. is seeking a System Administrator to develop and implement Windows- and Linux-based solutions within a government hosting facility on-site at the NAVAIR base in PAX River, MD. An ACTIVE Secret clearance is required with eligibility to obtain Top Secret after joining.

Responsibilities include deploying and maintaining hardware and virtual environments, backups, security posture, and DoD-aligned practices, with collaboration in Agile planning.

Qualifications

• Experience with RMF and security scanning (STIG/ACAS).
• Active clearance required with potential to upgrade to Top Secret.
• Windows or Linux system administration in a government hosting environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering solutions for government hosting facility.
• Deploy and maintain physical and virtual hardware, VMs, and containers.
• Perform routine maintenance and config changes on servers and IT equipment.
• Maintain backups and disaster recovery plans.
• Manage user accounts and permissions.
• Deploy and maintain software applications.
• Troubleshoot technical issues.
• Maintain system documentation and knowledge base.
• Provide customer support and guidance on best practices.
• Maintain DoD-aligned security posture and continuous monitoring.
• Participate in Agile project planning.
• Provide networking support for on-premises infrastructure.
