Job summary

SimVentions, Inc. is seeking an experienced System Administrator to design and implement Windows- and Linux-based engineering solutions for a government hosting facility. The role requires on-site work at the NAVAIR base in Pax River, MD, with active Secret clearance and potential TS clearance.

The position emphasizes RMF/STIG compliance, asset management, backups, disaster recovery, and DoD information security alignment. A BS in a technical field is preferred.

Qualifications

• At least three years experience performing responsibilities listed in this job requisition.
• Experience evaluating RMF compliance including STIG and ACAS scanning.
• Certification in a Windows or Linux operating environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering solutions for government hosting facility projects.
• Deploy and maintain physical and virtual hardware infrastructure, including VMs and containers.
• Perform routine maintenance and configuration changes on physical and virtual hosts.
• Install, configure and troubleshoot hardware and software on servers and IT equipment.
• Maintain system backups and disaster recovery plans.
• Manage user accounts and permissions.
• Deploy and maintain software applications.
• Troubleshoot technical issues.
• Maintain documentation (knowledge base, incidents, system configurations).
• Provide technical support to customers and guidance on best practices.
• Secure information systems in line with DoD guidance.
• Maintain security posture through continuous monitoring and reporting.
• Participate in Agile project planning.
• Provide networking support to on-premises infrastructure.
