Job summary

Northshore School District is hiring a Secondary Assistant Manager for Canyon Park Middle School in Bothell, WA. You will assist in directing kitchen operations, preparing meals, and maintaining inventory for the National School Lunch Program.

Responsibilities include staff supervision, recipe adherence, and accurate record-keeping. Must have a Food Handler’s Permit and be able to work in a busy school kitchen environment.

Qualifications

• Food Handler’s Permit required.
• Ability to operate POS system and computer with specific software.
• Ability to read, write and perform basic math calculations with accuracy.
• Ability to communicate effectively with staff, parents and administrators.

Responsibilities

• Assist Kitchen Manager in directing kitchen operations and staff.
• Prepare entrées, soups, breads, salads and desserts per recipes.
• Operate POS system and cash register; manage cash handling as needed.
