Job summary

Northshore School District 417 is seeking an Elementary Kitchen Manager at Westhill Elementary in Bothell, WA. You will oversee the full kitchen operation, staff, and student helpers, ensuring meals meet federal program standards and that records and inventory are accurately maintained.

The role requires a Food Handler’s Permit, strong equipment knowledge, and the ability to operate a POS system. Salary is hourly, with 193 days per year and 6.5 hours per day.

Qualifications

• Food Handler’s Permit required.
• Experience operating kitchen equipment (ovens, mixers, slicer, etc.).
• Ability to operate POS system and computer software.

Responsibilities

• Directs and manages the complete kitchen operation and staff.
• Prepares school meals per the School Meal Pattern for breakfasts and lunches.
• Maintains inventory and records for government reimbursement and financial accountability.
• Operates POS system and handles cash as needed.
• Ensures clean, sanitary kitchen and compliance with district standards.
