Job summary

Northshore School District 417 BOTHELL HIGH SCHOOL - BOTHELL, Washington is hiring a Cook Assistant to support the Food Service team. The role prepares and serves School Meal Pattern lunches and ensures sanitary working conditions in a school setting.

The position offers a 191-day work year, 3 hours per day, with a salary of $20.80–$25.33 per hour. Starting date is To Be Determined; salary will be based on experience and longevity.

Qualifications

• Must be neat, clean, alert and able to communicate with staff and students.
• Strong basic math and ability to follow written instructions.
• Must have stamina to stand long hours and lift up to 30 pounds.
• Must have or obtain a Food Handler's permit.
• Ability to assist in preparation and service of all menu items for Breakfast and Lunch which is appealing to students.
• Learn and become proficient in operation of large kitchen equipment (ovens, range, dishwasher, meat slicer, etc).
• Maintain a clean kitchen with sanitary working conditions.
• Communicate effectively with administrators, staff, parents, students, and others as needed.

• Maintain sanitary kitchen and follow program requirements.
