Job summary

Northshore School District in Woodinville, WA seeks a Cook Assistant to support the Food Service team. You will help prepare and serve nutritious meals, ensure sanitary kitchen conditions, and contribute to a compliant School Meal Pattern.

The role requires stamina, ability to lift up to 30 pounds, and a Food Handler’s permit. Work year is 191 days with 3.75 hours per day, and SEBB health insurance plus retirement are provided for eligible staff.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, staff and students.
• Maintains stamina for standing long hours and lifting up to 30 pounds.
• Must obtain or have a Food Handler’s permit.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve breakfast and lunch items that appeal to students.
• Operate and become proficient with kitchen equipment (ovens, range, dishwasher, slicer, proofer, kettles, steamers, mixer).
• Maintain a clean, sanitary kitchen and adhere to School Meal Pattern requirements.
