Job summary

Turkey Hill Minit Markets in the Wilkes-Barre area is seeking a dynamic Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager and team in delivering an exceptional guest shopping experience. This role focuses on coaching, training, scheduling, and maintaining store standards.

The ideal candidate has 1 year of retail or food experience and is ready to lead a team in a fast-paced environment, including nights, weekends and holidays. Strong guest service and computer skills are valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year retail or food experience; completion of Assistant Manager Training before assignment.
• 1–2 years in retail/guest service or restaurant in a leadership role preferred.
• ServSafe / Food Safety certification a plus but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and coach team to deliver outstanding guest service.
• Assist Store Manager with training, scheduling, and staff development.
• Support operating objectives, promotions, and inventory controls.
• Maintain store appearance, coffee/food areas, and clean restrooms.
• Monitor stock levels and ensure 100% in-stock when possible.
• Perform additional duties as needed by Store Manager.
