Job summary

ABB in Fort Smith, AR is seeking a Second Shift Production Supervisor to oversee production planning, scheduling, and execution on the 3:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. shift. You will lead a team, ensure safety and quality, and drive continuous improvement across plant operations.

You will coordinate with the Production Manager, manage HR-related tasks for the team, and work on Lean initiatives and SAP/Workday processes as part of the Motion NEMA Motors Division. On-site role in Fort Smith.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 2 years experience OR Associate’s Degree with minimum 4 years experience OR High School Diploma / GED with minimum 6 years experience.
• Preferred Experience Includes: Supervisory experience in manufacturing, Lean 6 Sigma Certification, Shopfloor Display, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), SAP, Workday.
• Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.

Responsibilities

• Production planning and execution: ensure schedules meet demand and inventory service levels, manage timekeeping and HR tasks for assigned staff.
• Operational performance and continuous improvement: identify deficiencies, recommend equipment or facility improvements, oversee actions to improve productivity and quality.
• Leadership and team development: maintain fairness and integrity, train staff, enforce policies, foster a professional environment as part of the Fort Smith management team.
• Safety, quality and issue resolution: ensure compliance with safety/quality standards, resolve critical issues and drive problem-solving initiatives.
