Job summary

ABB Fort Smith is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead third shift operations in the NEMA Motors Division. You will coordinate plant equipment, manpower, and processes to meet orders, quality, and cost targets on site in Fort Smith, AR.

You will report to the Production Manager and drive scheduling, training, and policy enforcement while ensuring safety and continuous improvement. This role emphasizes teamwork and measurable performance goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with minimum 2 years experience OR Associate's Degree with minimum 4 years experience OR High School Diploma / GED with minimum 6 years experience.
• Preferred Supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Lean Six Sigma certification preferred.
• Experience with SAP or Workday is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Production Planning & Execution: Ensure production schedules meet demand and inventory service levels; manage timekeeping and HR tasks for assigned employees.
• Operational Performance & Continuous Improvement: Identify deficiencies and oversee improvements to productivity and quality.
• Leadership & Team Development: Foster fairness, integrity, and a professional, collaborative environment.
• Safety, Quality & Issue Resolution: Ensure safety and quality standards; resolve critical product or equipment issues.
