Job summary

CJ Schwan’s is hiring a Production Supervisor - 2nd shift to lead manufacturing teams at our Northeast, PA frozen pizza plant. This role focuses on directing production lines, packaging, and bakery activities to meet USDA and company standards.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in food manufacturing with at least 2 years in supervision, strong communication skills, and familiarity with SAP and robotics used in production. Join us to drive safety, quality, and efficiency on the floor.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 4 years related work experience in food manufacturing; at least 2 years in supervision.
• Microsoft Office proficiency expected; SAP experience beneficial.
• Knowledge of robotics used in production is advantageous.
• Strong communication and reasoning skills to foster a positive work environment.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating manuals, and procedure documents; write routine reports.

Responsibilities

• Directs production, packaging, and bakery on production lines to meet company and USDA requirements.
• Interviewing and hiring qualified employees following EEO guidelines.
• Manage employee performance, conduct appraisals, and administer disciplinary actions.
• Ensure safety, housekeeping, policy compliance, and cost control; address employee relations."
• Adjust daily work schedules to meet production needs.
• Collaborate with USDA on-site to ensure state and federal food safety requirements are met.
• Review and sign off on QA and HACCP documentation.
