Job summary

CJ Schwan’s is hiring a Maintenance Supervisor for 2nd shift to oversee daily maintenance activities in our production facilities. You will lead a team, manage outages, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance while driving equipment reliability and cost controls.

The role requires 3+ years of related experience, a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred, and familiarity with SAP PM/CMMS, 5S practices, and basic engineering knowledge across mechanical and electrical systems.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred.
• Typically 3+ years of related maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of fasteners, lubrication, drives, pneumatics, hydraulics and electrical systems.
• Experience with food plant environments and safety standards is preferred.
• Must have supervisory experience and basic math/problem-solving skills.
• MS Office and SAP/CMMS familiarity is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe work environment and full regulatory compliance.
• Lead daily maintenance activities to support production needs.
• Monitor maintenance KPIs and equipment reliability.
• Oversee repairs, outages, contractors, and vendors.
• Manage maintenance budget and spare parts availability.
• Improve shop organization using 5S and defect elimination.
• Develop and manage maintenance team members.
• Uphold company values, policies and conduct standards.
