Job summary

CJ Schwan’s is hiring a Production Supervisor - 2nd shift to lead manufacturing teams at our Northeast, PA frozen pizza plant. This role focuses on directing production lines, packaging, and bakery activities to meet USDA and company standards.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in food manufacturing with at least 2 years in supervision, strong communication skills, and familiarity with SAP and robotics used in production. Join us to drive safety, quality, and efficiency on the floor.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 4 years related work experience in food manufacturing; at least 2 years in supervision.
• Microsoft Office proficiency expected; SAP experience beneficial.
• Knowledge of robotics used in production is advantageous.
• Strong communication and reasoning skills to foster a positive work environment.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating manuals, and procedure documents; write routine reports.

We are hiring a Production Supervisor - 2nd shift to lead our manufacturing associates at our frozen pizza plant in Northeast, PA.

What You Will Do

• Directs production, packaging, and bakery on production lines to ensure company and USDA requirements are met
• Being responsible for interviewing and hiring qualified employees, following EEO and Aff…
• Manages employee performance and skills development conducts performance appraisals and administers disciplinary action, including employment terminations when necessary
• Responsible for safety, housekeeping, policy administration, employee relations, cost control, and problem-solving
• Adjust daily work schedule as needed to meet production requirements.
• Works closely with USDA representative on site to ensure all company, state, and federal requirements for food safety are met
• Reviews and signs off on all Quality Assurance and HACCP documentation
• Checks product quality, usage, waste, product counts, and weights to assure performance and attainment

What We Look For

• Education: High School diploma required. Bachelor's degree preferred
• Minimum of 4 years related work experience preferably in food industry manufacturing or equivalent combination of education and experience, with minimum of 2 years in supervision
• Intermediate personal computer skills including Microsoft Office
• SAP experience beneficial
• Intermediate knowledge of robotics used in production
• Ability to effectively supervise line employees
• Strong communication and reasoning skills to provide a positive work environment
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals and ability to write routine reports and correspondence
• Knowledge of USDA, FDA, and BRC regulations preferred

What We Offer

The base salary range for this position is $ 58,500 to $97,500 annually, with eligibility for a 10% annual incentive bonus based on organizational performance. The range reflects factors such as experience, skills, education, certifications, and location, and starting salary may fall anywhere within the stated range.
