Regal Rexnord is seeking a Production Manager (2nd Shift) in Simi Valley, CA to lead second-shift manufacturing value streams and supervise teams. You will drive safety, quality, delivery, and cost initiatives while aligning staffing with demand and partnering with Supply Chain, Maintenance, and Engineering.

Role emphasizes Daily Management, Gemba walks, and structured problem solving, with a focus on developing talent and sustaining continuous improvement across production departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Manufacturing, or related field; MBA preferred.
• 7–10 years lean manufacturing or operations with progressive responsibility.
• At least 5 years leadership experience in a machining or manufacturing environment.
• Aerospace manufacturing or precision machine shop experience is preferred.
• Proven ability to lead safety, quality, delivery, cost, productivity, inventory, and associate engagement performance.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Daily Management, Gemba, structured problem solving, and continuous improvement principles.
• Proven ability to develop talent, coach leaders, manage performance, and build cross-functional teams across shifts and functions.
• Strong planning, capacity management, project management, and execution skills.
• Ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative information, exercise independent judgment, set priorities, and make timely decisions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to influence cross-functional teams and work with Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, Human Resources, and leadership.
• Creative and strategic thinker who can translate objectives into practical, disciplined execution.

Responsibilities

• Lead second-shift manufacturing value streams, functional machining areas, supervisors, leads, and production associates.
• Ensure attainment of Safety, Quality, Yield, Delivery, Productivity, Cost, and Inventory objectives.
• Translate strategic objectives into measurable improvement targets and develop, execute, and monitor action plans to close performance gaps.
• Lead Daily Management, Tier reviews, and Gemba walks; provide timely feedback, remove barriers, and reinforce accountability at all levels.
• Plan production priorities and optimize utilization of personnel, machines, tooling, and capacity based on customer demand.
• Partner with Supply Chain, Maintenance, Manufacturing Engineering, and Quality to improve capacity, equipment reliability, process capability, efficiency, and profitability.
• Drive cost reduction, operating efficiency, yield improvement, productivity, and waste elimination initiatives.
• Plan and lead continuous improvement events (RBS) with structured problem solving and corrective actions.
• Communicate daily results, production priorities, quality concerns, safety issues, staffing needs, and business conditions to associates and leadership.
• Gather, maintain, analyze, and report daily/weekly/monthly operating information to inform decisions.
• Ensure areas are staffed with competent personnel and develop supervisors and technical talent for key positions.
• Provide training, coaching, and development to maximize productivity across production departments.
• Complete performance reviews and coordinate with HR on associate relations and corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, quality, export control, and customer requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
