Job summary

Commerce ISD in Plymouth, Minnesota is seeking an experienced production leader responsible for coordinating production scheduling, leading teams, and partnering with QA to ensure safety, quality and on-time delivery.

The role requires strong communication, problem-solving, multi-tasking and a track record in food production; you will influence decisions on new products, equipment and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience with managing production metrics.
• Track record of improved performance.
• Experience bringing new products to market from concept to delivery.
• Experience with USDA and SQF, both preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years operational experience in a food production/manufacturing setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other platforms.
• Must pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Production Scheduling and workflow coordination across lines.
• Team training and employee development.
• Lead production teams to meet schedule goals.
• Assist in managing inventory and orders for production readiness.
• Maintain safe and healthy workplace practices.
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures and train staff.
• Collaborate with QA Director on processes and training.
• Plan line equipment and raw materials to meet production needs.
• Identify problems and coordinate solutions with stakeholders.
• Supervise staff, enforce policies, and evaluate performance.
• Conduct frequent line tours and ensure standard work.
• Communicate status with managers and supervisors.
• Lead safety training and ensure equipment readiness.
• Promote cross-functional teamwork for safety, quality, productivity.
• Ensure compliance with Food Safety & Quality policies.
