Job summary

Sysco Northeast Rdc is seeking a Production Supervisor for the 2nd shift to plan, schedule and direct the production operations team. The role focuses on productivity, quality, safety and cost objectives while aligning with company policies.

You will supervise both direct and indirect associates, coordinate material handling, and drive lean initiatives such as 5S, Kaizen and Kanban. Strong communication and leadership are required.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of food production manufacturing experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lead, motivate and develop staff.
• Experience implementing lean principles (5S, Kaizen, Kanban).
• Proficient with MS Office and reports.
• Knowledge of SOPs, safety standards and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Direct, coordinate and monitor daily activities of production associates to ensure productivity, quality and safety.
• Oversee material handling area and labor performance.
• Manage performance through coaching, mentoring and corrective action.
• Lead pre-shift meetings and communicate policy changes.
• Participate in staff selection, evaluations and disciplinary actions.
• Prioritize work, assign lines and monitor overtime.
• Ensure proper inventory control with WMS and documentation.
