Job summary

Wayne-Sanderson Farms is seeking a Shift Manager to lead all aspects of production on the second shift. You will supervise and train production staff, ensure daily yield targets are met, and uphold safety and food safety standards across the line.

Ideal candidates bring 3–5 years in a production setting (preferably poultry) and a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential to build effective teams.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of relevant experience in a production environment; preferably in the food industry.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
• Experience in poultry industry, preferably with First and Second processing.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations, GMPs and HACCP.

Responsibilities

• Oversee shift operations including maintenance personnel.
• Assist supervisors with supervising and training production employees.
• Ensure daily production/yield targets are met.
• Ensure safety of all employees.
• Coordinate with Quality Assurance to meet food safety specifications.
• Develop employees within designated areas.
• Enforce company policies/procedures.
• Administer corrective action plans and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
