Job summary

Wayne-Sanderson Farms is seeking a Poultry Processing Supervisor to lead the production line, ensuring adherence to HACCP, GMP, USDA and OSHA standards. The role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and quality while coaching a large team through daily operations.

The ideal candidate has 1 year in manufacturing with poultry experience and strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, plus the ability to manage shifts, safety procedures, and cross-department collaboration.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree preferred
• 1 year manufacturing experience; 3 years food manufacturing/poultry preferred
• Leadership experience demonstrated, with ability to resolve issues efficiently
• English communication skills required; multilingualism a plus
• Knowledge of poultry processing and food safety regulations (OSHA, GMP, HACCP) desirable

Responsibilities

• Supervise production line/department personnel to ensure adherence to policies and USDA/OSHA regulations
• Establish procedures to meet production schedules and budgets; optimize efficiency
• Deploy and rotate staff to maximize throughput and ergonomics
• Maintain accurate daily reports on attendance, yields, and performance
• Identify opportunities to reduce waste and improve product quality
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance to maintain sanitary, safe environments
• Provide coaching and feedback; manage performance and disciplinary actions
• Ensure safety initiatives are followed and PPE is worn as required
• Coordinate with other departments to meet location goals
• Learn and adhere to current union contracts if applicable
