SteveRecruiter, LLC is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead the second-shift paint operations in a high-volume automotive manufacturing environment. You will oversee one Team Leader and about 25 employees across loading, unloading, line support, inventory, and quality functions, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong communication and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work the full second shift.

Competenze

• Supervisory experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Ability to organize people, set clear expectations, resolve issues, and maintain accountability.
• Automotive manufacturing experience preferred; familiarity with plastic injection molding, painted plastics, or similar processes.
• Knowledge of painting, coatings, surface prep, curing, finishing, or paint quality desired.
• Experience in a unionized facility, including familiarity with collective bargaining agreements and attendance policies.
• Exposure to automated lines, robotics, PLC-controlled equipment, conveyors, and sensors.
• Understanding of production metrics, quality controls, downtime management, and labor planning.
• Strong communication, coaching, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Able to work full second-shift schedule and be present before/after shift as needed.

Mansioni

• Provide hands-on leadership for second-shift paint operations and ensure safe, efficient execution of the production schedule.
• Lead one Team Leader and about 25 production employees across loading, unloading, line support, inventory, material handling, and quality functions.
• Assign labor and resources to meet daily production requirements and maintain shift continuity.
• Monitor paint-line performance, output, quality, scrap, rework, downtime, and material usage; take corrective action as needed.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with procedures, PPE, chemical-handling standards, and safety regulations.
• Maintain product appearance and coating quality by partnering with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, and Production teams to resolve defects.
• Troubleshoot the automated paint line, robotics, conveyors, sensors, and controls; escalate issues to minimize downtime.
• Ensure paint, components, packaging, and materials are staged and controlled for uninterrupted operations.
• Conduct shift start-up meetings, communicate priorities and performance expectations, and hand over to the next shift.
• Train and develop employees, enforce standardized work, and administer workplace policies in a unionized environment.
• Complete production reports, attendance, quality documentation, and shift records; drive Lean, 5S, root-cause problem solving.
