Job summary

Johnson Controls International plc. in York, PA is seeking a Machine Operator for the 2nd shift (2:00 pm–10:00 pm). You will set up and operate brakes, shears, and presses, read blueprints, and ensure parts meet specs.

Forklift license may be required in some departments; training is provided as needed. Qualifications include a 1-year technical certificate or 3–6 months related experience, plus ability to interpret instructions, use calipers, and maintain safety standards in a loud manufacturing

Qualifications

• Read blueprints and shop orders to determine setup and sequence.
• One year certificate or 3–6 months related experience.
• Ability to read simple instructions, safety rules and paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate brakes, shears and presses to cut and form metal.
• Interpret blueprints and shop orders to determine production methods.
• Inspect and measure work; document deviations and take corrective action.
• Wear PPE and follow safety/environmental rules.
