Job summary

Collins Aerospace, a RTX company, is seeking an assembler for our 2nd shift in Wilson, NC. You will learn to set up, assemble, and load parts, use basic hand and machine tools, and read assembly procedures. You will ensure quality, meet deadlines, and participate in continuous improvement activities.

The role requires a HS diploma or GED and at least 1 year of manufacturing experience. Onsite work with potential overtime and safety training requirements.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED or vocational/technical education in related discipline.
• Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Learn to set up, assemble, and load parts.
• Demonstrate proper use of hand and machine tools with basic troubleshooting.
• Read and follow procedures, routing, and other work instructions.
• Maintain quality standards with no defects and identify defects when they occur.
• Build parts that meet customer deadlines while upholding safety and quality standards.
• Comply with quality systems and site training requirements.
• Participate in cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Attend EH&S trainings and report unsafe practices.
• Rotate through different workstations as needed.
• Follow assembly instructions and interpret schematics.
