Job summary

IDEX Corporation is seeking a hands-on Team Leader for the second shift (3pm–11pm) in our Farmington, CT facility. You will coordinate daily operations, develop team capability, and drive execution in a high-mix, high-volume manufacturing environment, aligning people and processes with our ownership culture and continuous improvement goals.

Responsibilities include data-driven decision making, production support, and implementing improvements with Quality and Engineering collaboration.

Qualifications

• Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.
• Ability to analyze data and solve problems in a high-volume setting.
• Strong leadership and communication skills for team development.

Responsibilities

• Analyze manufacturing and sales order data daily to identify issues, establish priorities, and assign personnel across multiple manufacturing cells.
• Actively support production by producing and/or inspecting parts as needed to ensure schedule adherence and quality standards.
• Collect operational data, identify manufacturing pain points, and provide feedback to Quality and Engineering; recommend and implement improvements to cost, quality, and efficiency.
• Lead and execute continuous improvement projects assigned by the Value Stream Manager to achieve targeted performance outcomes.
• Monitor employee performance; document and elevate performance or disciplinary concerns up to a memorandum for record, as appropriate.
• Partner with Quality to drive resolution of customer complaints and corrective actions.
• Model and reinforce a culture of safety, ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
